How to Build a Natural Skincare Routine

How to Build a Natural Skincare Routine

A natural skincare routine can be simple: cleanse, add targeted hydration, moisturise, and protect your skin from the sun. The best choices depend on your skin and the ingredients in each product, not just the word “natural” on a label.

Step 1: Cleanse

Wash your face with a cleanser suited to your skin. Caithy's Nutritive Brightening Face Wash contains aloe vera and cucumber extract and is described for morning and evening use. If your skin feels tight after cleansing, consider a gentler option.

Step 2: Add a toner if you enjoy one

Toner is optional, not a requirement for healthy skin. Caithy's Instant Hydrating Mist Spray Toner is positioned as a refreshing hydration mist. Check the ingredient list if your skin is sensitive to fragrance.

Step 3: Choose a facial oil or serum

For an oil-based step, Caithy's Organic Rosehip Oil is listed as cold-pressed and certified organic. The collection also includes Rosehip Oil Brightening+, Skin Firming Concentrated Oil and a Marula Serum. These have different ingredients, so choose for your preferences and patch test before first use. A few drops may be enough; follow the directions on the product you choose.

Step 4: Moisturise

Apply a moisturiser suited to your skin. Caithy's collection includes a Marula Rich Moisturiser and a Skin Brightening Cream. Check each product's ingredients and directions before use, especially if you have reactive skin.

Step 5: Protect your skin in the morning

Finish your morning routine with broad-spectrum sunscreen and follow its label directions. A facial oil or moisturiser does not replace sun protection.

Keep it practical

  • Introduce one new product at a time so it's easier to notice how your skin responds.
  • Patch test new products and stop using one if it irritates your skin.
  • Give your routine time, and adjust it to your skin rather than following a fixed number of steps.
